The nursing board exam results for 2009 have been released in the Philippines and I am pretty sure that sooner or later, nurses will go looking for the right jobs they want. Most of them would prefer jobs abroad but since not all countries were vying for Filipino nurses, at least there will be countries that could open up with new nursing jobs.
As a tip, if you are a new professional graduate nurse, accumulate first the experience that you will need before trying to apply for nursing jobs. Bedding count will always work for you if you want to work abroad. I have a friends who once failed to get his dream nursing job in Canada for this reason so don’t make the same mistake again. Get the necessary experience first.

I am capable and willing to work and handle the responsibilities with initiative, dedication and hardwork. An exceptionally motivated, highly flexible and adoptable individual with a commitment in delivering quality service. A good natured person who is able to build camaraderie and rapport with fellow employees. i also possess fluency in written and spoken Filipino & English with an effective communication skills on both language. Knowledgeable in using computer. Proficient in Windows XP,Vista, 7 and software such as Excel, Word, Publisher and Internet Explorer.
I have attached my resume in this e-mail so that you will know some details about me. i think it will answer your queries. But if you still have any, i am very much willing to give you the information you needed.
I have 2 year experience as an emergency room nurse in the Defense Complex Hospital here in Sana’a City, Yemen. I started to work here on September 8, 2008. The hospital has 50 bed capacity and was run through German Policy. It is one of the most advanced hospitals in Yemen and we are trained to use advance modalities. We also have our ambulances, an advance and well equipped ambulances that enable us to transfer patients from one hospital to another. We are well trained to handle our patients with great importance and with so much care because almost all of them are VIP’s, head of the Ministries in Yemen or even the relative of the President of Yemen or the president himself. The hospital was built on the president’s request that’s why it is also called presidential hospital. It is located inside the Ministry of Defense, same compound as the President’s office. If you want to know more about the hospital, i can send to you the hospital profile immediately upon your request. For some instances, like lack of staff, i am always pulled out of the Emergency room to do duties in VIP Room, General Ward, ICU and OPD, giving me a wide variety of experience from time to time. I am always asked to do straight duties when this time comes and I am always on call whenever the hospital needed my help. I am a reliable and hardworking individual that is always on the go whenever duty calls. But before I got this job, I had another 4 months experience as a volunteer Emergency Room nurse in a tertiary hospital, with an overall bed capacity of 300 beds, in James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital in Olongapo City,Zambales, Philippines, I started to work there on April 14, 2008 up to August 13, 2008, I resigned because i was accepted and passed the interview of the employer when he went to the Philippines to recruit nurses for the Defense Complex Hospital. I have certification that proves that what i have said is true and im willing to send it to you if needed.I have also attended trainings and seminars to further enhance my skills and knowledge to my profession and these are the following:

We also have our training and lectures here in our
hospital. They are providing us updates, knowledge and refreshments related to our profession. The speakers are also our Doctors, who are composed of Germans, Indians and Yemenis who had their studies in German or in Russia. We are doing this every Thursday morning and all of the nurses and other related medical staff must attend. Regarding my IELTS examination, I had the following scores, 6.5 in listening, 7 in both reading and writing and 7.5 in speaking, having a total band score of 7.
If there is any vacant position that i can fit with…please inform me as soon as possible… i am willing to do everything to pass the requirements that you will ask…
In addition, my contract here in Yemen is finished (September 8, 2008-July 8, 2010, because we are allotted to have 2 months vacation for a 2 years contract), they just ask me to stay for a while so that they can hire my replacement, at the same time they are offering me to renew my contract. I read your advertisement on the internet and i was really very eager to be one of the lucky applicants who will be chosen.
I am very much willing to go back to the Philippines, if i will be accepted, to process any documents that must be done.
Thank you very much!
I hope and I pray for your kind consideration
Sincerely yours,
Marcos P. Banayos Jr., RN
